Belk Place

The Carolina Theatre doesn’t stand alone. Together, with Foundation For The Carolinas’ headquarters and event venues, the Carolina Theatre anchors the Belk Place civic campus, named in honor of the families of the late Katherine Belk and the late Thomas M. Belk and the late Claudia and John M. Belk.

As a nonprofit, community-first theatre, this partnership – both in proximity and mission – is no coincidence. The Belk Place Civic Campus will serve as the epicenter for community engagement and philanthropic investment in our region.

Belk Place, located in the heart of Uptown Charlotte, is the city’s hub for civic engagement, community involvement and, most importantly, a space where all Charlotteans convene to improve our community.

The Carolina Theatre is a unique cultural venue with historical ties to Charlotte that stretch back to 1927. Together, we now look toward investing in our shared future.
